ACTIVITIES
In the Financial year 2006-07 our club donated over $50,000
to the community, and over the years has donated many
millions of dollars through the efforts of its members.
Our current major activities and projects are:
- Lions Festival of Magic Show (run in October each year for disadvantaged
children through the generous support of Canberra businesses);
- Art Show and sale;
- Prostate Awareness Program providing information sessions to community groups,
multicultural organisation and our new initiative Walk for your Prostate;
- Catering for events using our Lions Barbeque trailer;
- Prime (Channel 10) Children's Christmas party catering; Bowls day;
- Support of Lions Youth Haven (Kambah),
- Sale of Lions Christmas Cakes and Lions Mints; and
- The Club also undertakes projects for individuals and groups.
